Comparing Thailand and Turkey in Daily Life and in Tourism

Wellcome to my blog.I am Abdullah Hakan Ozcan from Ankara Turkey. I am Turkish national and I am here to compare 2 magnificent touristic countries.
Turkey has 73 million inhabitants and the 16th biggest economy of the world. She just entered the BRIC countries and Istanbul and İzmir with their promotions and with large commercial sea ports continue to attract foreign investors and multinational companies. I wish Ankara with its very fine infrastructure could attract multinational companies to the city but it is like Phoenix Arizona in nature with not so many natural attractions. In Thailand only Bangkok attracts foreign investors mostly and it has fine infrastructure of road and train(not high speed trains) networks and abundant with low cost air carriers to most of the Southeast Asian and Chinese cities.
Turkish people like hardworking and take initiative in initiating and sustaining successful construction companies and banks. ENKA, Ronesans Construction, Gama Holding, Tepe Construction Inc. are main infrastructure builder companies in Turkey and they have accomplished lots of high rise condos, motorways and other sorts of commercial buildings and shooping malls in Russia and CIS countries. Turkey has 40 USD billionaires whereas Thailand has only 11 USD billionaires. Both of those countries must increase their investments in road, train and airline network infrastructures. Turkish Airlines has placed recently Istanbul-Toronto, Istanbul-Los Angeles, Istanbul- Sao Paolo flight networks and the airline company heads of being one of the world's  top 10th airline carrier in 10 years time. Turkish Airlines is already a member of Star Airlines group. Most modern terminals in Turkey are Istanbul Ataturk Terminal, Ankara Esenboga Terminal and Izmir Terminal. Turkey has lots of historical monuments and archeological sites especially in Bible belt city of İzmir, Denizli and Kuşadası, Bodrum, Antalya from Roman Empire. Thailand has only Ayuthaya budhist temples dating 800 BC.  
During my visits to Thailand, I have seen lots of backpackers from around the world whereas in Turkey mostly high caliber tourists come and visit the country. In Thailand Kaosan Road, Soi Cowboy, Patpong, Nana Plaza are the hotspots for tourists and I like those neighborhoods with its live music and affordable girlfriend availabilities. Whereas in Turkey there are no places like these. So Turkey is good for only couples as Turkish girls are not good at dating most of the times (It is because of genetic and religious beings of Turkish girls). So Thailand is best for solo male or female travellers.
You can not find  foreign ethnic and nationality  foods in Turkey other than Turkish kebaps and Turkish food is little bit heavy and greasy. Thai food is healthy and with varieties of spices, they are very attractive to foreign tourists.
Istanbul has 110 shopping malls for 10 million inhabitants , Ankara has 40 shopping malls for 5 million population, Bangkok has less than 20 shopping malls for 8 million inhabitants.
If you know Turksih well, foreign students can study in Turkey for very cheap costs. For example Kırıkkale University and other universities in small Anatolian cities incurs only 25 USD per year for tuition and fees for masters and doctorate degrees and they are well known around the world and with good reputation. So come and study in Turkey as full time student with very good Turkish language background. Also living expenses are very cheap. Monthly expenditure in those small cities in Turkey for students is around 600USD per month
including meals, accomodation. So with your girlfriend it is really a bargain to earn MBA in Turkey.
Thailand has ongoing monthly full moon parties in Koh Phangan, Koh Samui islands. Phuket is very popular among very rich American and European tourists. Krabi in Thailand is suitable for young couples and for solo travelers as well as backpackers. There are everyday flights from Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport to all of the cities in Thailand. Also visit Hat Yai, Danouk ,Trat in the southern provinces, you will sooth the tranquility and enjoy "land of smiles" of Thailand from muslim perspectives. In the south mostly Chinese and Indian Malays, Singaporeans come for nightlife, for karaoke and chinese foods with thai hospitality.
In Turkey, if you want to spend a very affordable summer holiday, go to Anamur city near Alanya.Anamur , with its very cheap hotels,  affordable food options and nice and helpful city dwellers, you will definitely enjoy Mediterenean coastline's beauty.
In Thailand, Isaan province is not so wellcoming to solo male travellers as the local people don't speak so much English and local girls are afraid of grapevine(they don't speak foreign language other than English in Thailand but in Turkey there are French, German, Italian secondary and high schools in Ankara,Istanbul so no problem to find Turkish translators in touristic areas).
It is nearly impossible to see American, Canadian or Asian tourists in Mediterenean or Aegean cities of Turkey even though they will get the most of archeology (unlike New York Metropolitan Museum has lots of Turkish archeological and historical monuments in Anatolia, Middle East section), so we are awaiting American tourists to Turkey as well. Turkey has extremely luxury hotels catered to Russian ,CIS and European tourists at low costs compared to Florida hotels and resorts.  One example for all is http://www.rixossungatehotel.com/     which is 7 star resort for only 180USD per person all inclusive style perfect golf resort with all kinds of imported alcoholic drinks available for free. To rent summer houses in Turkey is cheap and abundant. Just go to realtors in Didim, Bodrum, Antalya and you can rent furnished summer houses for 700USD per month (villas not apartments). But in Thailand it is expensive for long stays. So prefer Turkey for long stays upto 3 months especially in low season times such as September to January.
